First, this is a stunning dress! It really is. The skirt falls just below the knee, it is flowing and gorgeous. The top bodice is also beautiful. Due to other previews I decided to take the risk of ordering a 14 and a 16. Here is what I found. If you were a size 8/10 order a size 14 dress. If you wear a 12/14 try the size 16. The dress does need a bit of alternation on the bodice. If you can sew, you will need to bring in the sides under the armpit for a snugger fit. If you can't sew, it's worth finding a good seamstress to fix it for you. In general the shape of the bodice is too loose in relation to the waistline.For the most part this is a cute dress especially for the price, the fit is nice and it has a little stretch to make it comfortable. I have 2 complaints though. The first is that my dress is lopsided, the chiffon over skirt is longer on one side than the other and noticeably so. The second is that the back of this is low cut enough that you can't really wear a bra with it, but it has no molded cups for support, just a soft lining. Unfortunately I'll have to take my $35 dress to a tailor to have these things correctedI got this dress for my daughter for my wedding, the beast pads are set so high, they were in her kneck. Definitely not true to size need to order 2 sizes up.My bust is 36 so I ordered Size 10 based on the size chart. However was too small. I do not like the padding as it way too high or just to close to the sleeve section. (Maybe i just got a faulty dress) It is a nice dress but not for women with a lot of hips and boobs.Awkward fit. The dress itself is cute and worth the money if it had fit. I wear a 8-10 usually, however, I ordered a 12. The chest padding was to high and small and wide. I wear a 36 D this fit more like a “perky” 38 b or c cup. Unfortunately, my chest wouldn’t stay put when trying on and try to escape from the bottom. The rest of the dress is true to size so it was a little lose in the midline. I do believe I could of removed padding and made it work, however, I wasn’t willing to cut into the dress. The burgundy is pretty. Returning.I ordered one size larger because of the reviews but the torso is still really short. I’m am usually a large or size 10-12 but I ordered a 14 and the torso is still very short. Very tight in my armpit as wellThe style and color was amazing. I read reviews and ordered a larger size. It fit but the last bit of zipper would not zip closed. If I'd gone another size up it would have been way too big. Sadly had to send back.Very cute dress but not able to wear it too big
