This is the second time I've ordered a dress from this vendor and once again I was impressed with the quality of it for the price. The color is true to how it appeared on my iMac desktop, a rich cobalt blue and fits like a glove. I ordered a medium & large to be safe as my bust is a 32DD but the medium ended up being the best fit. FYI my waist is 28 inches. As it's an A-line cut dress it doesn't hug the hip area so you have some flexibility there. The dress came with a set of thin shoulder straps for those who need the extra support. It does have some light boning sewn in which gives some support to the bust area but I will still be wearing a strapless bra with it for extra oomph. The dress also comes with a matching chiffon wrap/scarf.You will need to give the dress a light ironing or steam due to wrinkles from being packaged up. The length is perfect on me so I won't have to hem it, I'm 5'5" and will be wearing 4 inch heels with it.The dress is for a military ball, so it's clean classic lines and the fact that it isn't encrusted with cheap looking rhinestones and glittery stuff like so many formal gowns are nowadays, is why I chose it. I will be dressing it up with some diamond & sapphire jewelry. All in all I'm very pleased with the dress and will definitely order from this company again. Love that they have a free returns too which to me, is a must when ordering clothing online.I ordered this dress in Sage for a friend's upcoming wedding. I went by the sizing charts and ordered a 3x, which I thought was going to be too big, but it's what the chart said to order, so I did. My boobs measured 45" and my waist, I can't remember the #, but according to the chart I need to order a 3x. When the dress arrived, which was extremely quick(I'm in N.C. Ordered it on Thursday, got it Saturday), I tried it on. It fell off of me, it was so big. The length was perfect with my heels on. 3 inches, I believe. I'm 5,4. I took the dress to get alterations done and the lady was like, "why did you buy it so big?" I could have sent it back, but too lazy and the wedding is close. So she pinned and tucked til' we both were satisfied. Once that was done, it looked really nice. Great shape. Wear the undergarments you're gonna wear that day to the alterations shop. Overall. I'm happy with the dress and overall buying experience. Not happy dropping $60 on alterations. You may have to go a size down. Happy shopping. The gown is exactly as advertised. Great quality for the price. A GREAT deal in comparison to anything I could find elsewhere. In searching for the dress, I initially found this exact same gown (word for word description) at a retail store's website. When I went to order it, it showed a 4 to 6 week delivery window. In the end, it was out of stock. When I pasted the description into a Google search, Amazon had the gown, it was delivered within 4 days. The price was the same, to the penny. The only dissatisfaction is sizing. I measured myself with a tape measure to select the size according to the company's sizing chart. The gown was very loose. Given the strapless style, I had to have it altered. If you are a tweener, get the smaller sizeI picked out this dress for my bridesmaids to wear in my fall wedding. The shipping time was great, and if you are also ordering them for bridesmaids' dresses (and you see your bridesmaids regularly), I'd advise ordering all of them together because you'll get a better shipping rate.Overall, I am very happy with these dresses. The price is great, and the quality seems to be as well. All of my bridesmaids received a size that fits them appropriately the first time - a few alterations will need to be done (as the other reviewers have noted, the bust is quite large), but you'll likely have that with any formal dress. The color is a beautiful chocolate brown. I looked at the "truffle" dresses at David's Bridal, and they seemed to have too much of a purple tint to them -- but these are just right. The only minor issue I have is that there is no extra fabric at the bottom hem, so if you are tall, this dress may be a little too short for you to wear with heels. My matron of honor is about 5'7", and her medium size dress is too short for her to wear anything but flats.I bought this for a friend that was planning to go for a wedding but when she saw it, she and other friends of hers decided to make it the formal bridesmaids dresses. So i had to buy 3 more! They all loved it instantly and said the satin is of very good quality. The dresses also come with some "ropes" that could sewn in to make straps just in case a person wants to not use it as strapless. Its all worth it.They however, wished the shawl/veil was of a lighter material and not the same material with the dress. A lighter fabric would have made it a lot easier to wrap round the shuolders since this very fabric a little bit thick.Dress arrived on time, and in good condition despite having to sit in a leaky mailbox in the rain until I got home.Dress fit great, and only minimal alterations are needed. As others say, the bust is cut big but that's a good thing. All I need done is to have that taken in, have it hemmed a bit (I need everything hemmed!), and have the wrinkles steamed out (it arrives all folded up in a little plastic package.) Very comfortable; I personally don't find the tulle fluff to be irritating - it's at a pretty good height, below the knee.Slimmer girls may need to have it taken in at the hip too, which I imagine is also cut a bit big for the same reason as the bust. It's not so "flared" on me as to make a difference though.A great, versatile and affordable dress! The cost of the dress + minor alterations is still less than some friends have had to pay for bridesmaid dresses alone.Thank you!
