I bought this in the size 6, burgundy for my 5-year-old daughter and it fit great. She wore it for my brothers wedding and never complained of any discomfort or itchiness. She looked like a princess and felt confident. We had also purchased the dress in navy and that color was also very pretty – we ended up returning the navy though because the burgundy seemed to match more of what the rest of the family was wearing. The sash can be used or not, and we decided against it because honestly, it seemed kind of cheap and we think it took away from the dress. We ended up cutting the two pieces that “held” the sash off the dress and just didn’t use it. Overall though, I think this is a beautiful dress at a pretty affordable price and we are pleased with the purchase. I’m including a few photos just to provide a closer look at what to expect. Hope that helps!Beautiful dress but if this is for a adolescent that is blossoming it will not fit the chest area.After seeing me unwrap this nice dress and getting all excited, my 12 year old unfortunately only wanted to get out of it, despite loving the look: the internal seams were too rough and itched. True, she has a very delicate skin prone to rashes. It went to another family, and their girl was apparently radiant the whole Christmas Eve. The dress was true to size, well made for the price, but not with the softest fabric. Ours had a rich burgundy color so it could be worn for other occasions than the winter Holidays. The "at-the-knee" length was flattering without looking dull or severe because of the ruffling.This dress was too tight and too small for my 8 year old daughter. She’s average size, slender built & it still didn’t fit.And the color was Red instead of Burgundy what is advertised and what I thought I was ordering. For those reasons, it was returnedAbsolutely perfect just like the picture and it fit her well. She said it was comfortable also.The shade of pink on the belt was different from the dress. Not terrible but noticable. My daughter loved the dress so I didn't return it but would have otherwise. Zipper seems like poor quality too.The dress fitted perfectly and all liked the dressI had bought my younger granddaughters matching dresses for Christmas but my older granddaughter I was looking for a dress that matched and when I saw this online I bought and it fits and looks great with her sisters dresses.
