I wasn't sure without being able to handle it. but its a nice quality pretty dress and well worth the money.I bought this dress for my toddler's 4th birthday. I sized up and I'm so glad I did. She has enough room to dance/play around AND wear it if another occasion arises. If you like a snug fit order your child's size. If you want a little wiggle room: size up. My daughter is 3' 2" tall and weighs 39 lbs. I got the dress in 5/6 and it's a little long on her, but not so long that I would say it doesn't fit her. Perfect!Only downfall was the bow was flimsy or droopy needs pins to keep upright. Would have preferred the bow to be sown onto dress.
