I'm fat. I readily admit that. Normally I wear a 2x to a 3x, but after reading other reviews about how small these dresses run, I ordered this dress in a 5x, and I'm still going to have to buy a corset in order to be able to zip it up. 5x? In what country? China, where all the people are tiny? Lilliput? It's certainly not an American 5x. Other than the tight fit, the dress is pretty. I thought it had sequins or crystals, but the shiny spots are tiny drops of glue that have silver glitter sprinkled on. Still, it's very pretty. The dress is satin, although not a high quality satin, like you would expect from an actual bridal/formal shop, but it isn't bad, either, especially for the cheap price. It's too short for me, too, but all dresses are because I'm tall. I don't care about that. People of a normal height will have a full-length gown, rather than a maxi dress, and if I want, I can have the skirt cut off to a tea length, which would still be pretty. The gown has spaghetti straps and a lacy bolero jacket, which I like because as a fat person, I don't want bare upper arms. It's sheer enough to look nice, but opaque enough the fat doesn't show through. The color isn't quite as vibrant as the photo shows, but it's still definitely fuchsia in color, which is one of the colors in my daughter's wedding. This dress will certainly serve my purposes.
