Elegant Chiffon Bridesmaid Dress with Halter Neck - Long Formal Evening Gown for Wedding, Prom, Party & Special Occasions

I purchased this as a bridesmaid's dress for an outdoor wedding. It's not exactly high quality, but, when it's on, it looks just as nice as the chiffon dresses from bridal stores (at a MUCH nicer price!)I am 5'4, 170 lbs and in these pictures I am wearing a size 4. I had previously ordered it in my usual size 10, followed by sizes 8 and 6 (thank goodness for free return shipping!) If you want the top to look blousy like it does on the model, you're going to have big gaps in the arm holes and the back of the dress looks awkwardly big, in my opinion. The right size for you is REALLY going to depend on your chest size and how much poof you want in the top. The waist is elastic and I can honestly say I felt very little difference in the waistband between the 10 and the 4. The difference is really in how much material is going into the top part of the dress. My bra size is 36C and the size 4 was the fit I liked the best... Fitted, with no gaps at the arm holes while still being loose and flowy around the middle. If your chest is larger, then the right fit might be closer to your regular dress size than this was for me.One last note... If you're shorter than 5'5, it will definitely need to be hemmed. Even the size 4 is still too long on me, even with heels.Actually impressed with the quality of this gown, for the price I expected something a cheaper in quality, but was pleasantly surprised. It is large in me as I followed the measurement guideline, but it is a nice fabric, pretty color and is flattering. I am 5'4 38D 190lbs and the 14 was too large in the waist ( about 1.5 to 2 inches) and chest/arm opening (hung down too low in armpit), it is long, but if you are wearing heels it wouldn't be an issue, but if wearing flats I would recommend having it hemmed to not trip or step on it.I would recommend this dress, but size down if you are in between measurements. I wish I would have found this dress when I was getting married, this would make a really great bridesmaids dress, or for me a great dress to a formal summer wedding.I would recommend wearing a strapless bra with this as there is no built in support, but the lining is thick enough that a slip is not needed.I ordered the purple color and it was true to picture (allowing for screen difference). Returning as it is too large.LOVE this dress. I bought it for my little brothers wedding and it is so flattering. Every review I saw said it was running larger but I purchased my size just in case and it fits great maybe a little tight in the boob area even and I do NOT have big boobs lol. It’s pretty long and I’m 5’7 and will definitely be needing to wear heels so it doesn’t drag on the ground. Great color and love the way it looks on!Just an FYI the colors are different depending on the size. Burgundy size 2 is red, burgundy size 4 is actually a darker red/burgundy. Other than that the dresses themselves are great. I think they'd be flattering and fit most body types. It's a typical shiffon dress, same that you'd buy in a store for $80-120. My sister is probably 130lbs and 5'4" wearing a size four but will need under the arms taken in as well as hemmed, they are long but that's better than short. My other sister is about 5'8" 115lbs and would have worn size two had it been the right color but will have to do size 4 with alrerations due to color differences. I ordered a size 2 twice and both times got red instead of burgundy.I really like this dress! It flows nicely and fits well. I ordered down a size or two and agree with other reviewers that the sizing relies more on your upper body size. I normally wear size 8 or 10 dresses in normal US women's sizing. The size 6 fits perfectly, the size 4 was just too tight around the neck straps and chest...otherwise the tummy area and length have plenty of room in both. I have athletic shoulders and size 36D or DD chest, and it's perfectly long the way I like so I can wear tall heels and I'm about 5'7" tall. Otherwise I'd have to hem it with flats.It seems nicely made for the price, good fabric that you could wear to a formal event. The dark green and deep red were both beautiful & as shown in the photos. Great find!DISCLAIMER: This dress only fit me perfectly because I listened to the reviews and SIZED DOWN!! Normally I am a US 10 in dresses but I got this in a US 6 and it fit like a glove. The dark green is to DIE FOR it has a very slightly blue tint to it so it's not the dark green in the picture but more of a forest green but I love it. The dress is slightly long on me even if I wear heels but that's because I'm 5'0 so it was expected. With heels on (5") I still had about 1" on the floor.The waist sits right under your boobs/rib cage and not at your waist, so beware of that when buying on whether you want it to be a little large so it will fall lower to your waist line. Other than that, I wore this as a bridesmaids dress for my best friends wedding on the beach and it was such great quality for such a great price.The quality of the material was really surprising to me for the price point - it felt really nice. I'm 5'9" and the length was good! I was amazed. (With flats, so if you're shorter but wearing heels, may still be good). The cinching around the waist is pretty high up the ribs though - it wasn't at my waist and so it looked a little odd. I'm returning it because of the fit but if you have a shorter torso, or are just shorter overall, I think it's a really nice dress.
